Renae Smith, AIA Australia’s Chief Marketing Officer, leads a diverse team of highly capable professionals responsible for the organisations Marketing, Retail Product Development and Pricing, and the hugely successful AIA Vitality program. Renae leads her team with focus on innovation, and on promoting and nurturing AIA’s purpose to be ‘the best in life’. In her time with AIA Renae has been pivotal in evolving the Australian life insurance conversation to one that is now increasingly focused on getting the most out of life for all customers.
Renae has held multiple executive level marketing positions within organisations such as Telstra, GE Capital and AIA Australia, where she has been responsible for managing dynamic teams and delivering enterprise wide results. She holds 18 years of marketing expertise spanning across financial services, telecommunications, not-for-profit and entrepreneurial start-ups. In 2016 Renae was awarded the Women in Financial Services Marketing and Communications award, recognising her recent success with enhancing the AIA customer value proposition, and building on customer engagement, with a unique and multilayered marketing strategy.
